Transportation to Symposium

Hello! We are so happy that you will be joining us for the 2025 SAVMA Symposium hosted by the University of California - Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine (UCDSVM). The closest major airports are the Sacramento International Airport and the San Francsico International Airport. Details regarding these airports and how to get to UC Davis are included below.

From SMF to the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine:
25-30 Minutes, 21 miles

From Airport Boulevard, merge onto the I-5 North towards Redding. Take the exit onto Main Street toward Woodland, CA-113 South. Turn left onto E Main St toward CA-113. Turn left to mere onto CA-113 South. Take the exit onto Hutchinson Drive towards UC Davis. Turn left onto Hutchinson Drive. Turn right onto Health Sciences Drive and park in Lot 56.

From SFO to the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine:
1.5-2.5 hours, 83 miles

SFO typically offers more frequent flights than SMF, but is significantly further from the UC Davis campus. If you choose to fly in and out of SFO, we would recommend reserving a rental car and driving the roughly 2 hours to UC Davis.

Where is the Symposium being held?

UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine 944 Garrod Dr, Davis, CA 95616
Lectures, wet labs and competitions will take place on the UCD SVM campus. 


University Credit Union Center
The Exhibit Hall and lunch will take place in the "U Center". The TG on the evening of March 21, 2025 will take place on Hutchinson Field, which is right outside of the "U Center". Please see the "What is a TG?" page on our website for more information. 

Transportation between The U Center and SVM Campus
It is a 15 minute walk between The ARC and the SVM Campus. A shuttle will be running between the two locations throughout the day on both 3/21 and 3/22. Please check back soon for more details regarding this shuttle system.

The Legen-dairy Gala will be held at the Mondavi Center on the evening of March 22nd, 2025.

Driving directions to the Mondavi Center:

From Sacramento (I-80 Westbound)

Take the UC Davis/Mondavi Center exit and turn right on to Old Davis Road. At the traffic circle, continue forward on?Old Davis Road. Turn right into?Gateway Parking Structure. 

From the San Francisco Bay Area (I-80 Eastbound)

Take the UC Davis/Mondavi Center exit and turn left on to Old Davis Road. At the traffic circle, continue forward on?Old Davis Road. Turn right into?Gateway Parking Structure. 

From Northern California and Sacramento International Airport (I-5 & 113)

From I-5, go south on?Highway 113 in?Woodland. From Highway 113, take the I-80 east off-ramp towards Sacramento. From I-80, immediately take the UC Davis/Mondavi Center exit and turn left?onto Old Davis Road. At the traffic circle, continue forward on?Old Davis Road. Turn right into?Gateway Parking Structure.
