Sathya K Chinnadurai, DVM, MS, Dipl. ACZM, Dipl. ACVAA, Dipl. ACAW

We're thrilled to welcome Dr. Sathya Chinnadurai, a leading voice in zoological medicine and animal welfare, as our keynote speaker! Dr. Chinnadurai is the Senior Vice President of Animal Health, Welfare & Science at Brookfield Zoo Chicago, where he has served as a clinical veterinarian since 2013. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master’s in Wildlife Sciences from the University of Missouri. He completed his residency training at North Carolina State University, and his undergraduate studies were completed at Duke University in Biology and Environmental Science and Policy.

Dr. Chinnadurai is board certified in Zoological Medicine, Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia, and Animal Welfare. He serves on the executive committee of the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians, advises the Food and Drug Administration as an animal veterinary health innovation expert, and is an associate editor for the Journal of Zoo and Wildlife Medicine. He is also an Animal Welfare committee member with the American Veterinary Medical Association and an adjunct clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the North Carolina State University Colleges of Veterinary Medicine.
